Are we still using this blog?

Hi, everyone. Just thought I would put a post for 2009. Does anyone still look at this blog? Do Jared and Jessica have their own blog now? Jason and I do: jasonbollesfamily.blogspot.com. It has been fun to see everyone's blogs.

Latest news that should be on this site, maybe: Marianne made it through Chemo for Colon Cancer and Dad has been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer.

Grandma Sally continues to do a play date with Tyson and Luke and sometimes Jordan on most Wednesdays. Tyson really looks forward to these play dates and asks every day if it is Wednesday so he can go to Grandma Sally's. Thank you for doing this!!!

Random picture, I know, but thought it would be fun to have one of my kids in their pjs.

Introducing… Megan Rose Stout!

You should all be proud of me for posting my first blog, but this is definately something to blog about! Well, she's finally here. The doctor scheduled my C-Section 1 week after my due date to give me a chance to go into labor. I felt a few sporadic contractions, but other than that nothing happened, so C-Section it was. I was a little nervous about it, but having done it before I knew what to expect this time around. I went to bed very early the night before, thanks to an Ambien Alison gave me. We woke up at 4:00 am, arrived at the hospital at 5:30, was wheeled into the operation room at 7:30, and she was in my arms at 8:06!!! Sounds pretty easy, doesn't it? Actually it was. The hard part was standing up to take my first steps 24 hours later. I do have to say the pain has been minimal compared to Jordan's birth, probally due to the lack of a 24 hour labor and 2 hours of pusing. Things have gone relatively smoothly, thanks to both grandma's taking turns helping. Jordan has asjusted a lot better than we thought he would and he even gave her his first kisses this morning. Love you all!!!!!!

Springtime in Spokane ---- BRRRRRR!!!!

This is what we woke up to this morning the 29th of March!!!
Major and Barbie don't seem to mind the cold.

Evie's 4th Birthday.
Her special requests were pizza and strawberry shortcake.

She said it was the best day of her life.

Jared's 31st Birthday.

Everyone holding up their fingers to show how old they are. Benjamin thought he'd use his finger to experiment with the fire.

Evie and Benjamin are good buds...most of the time!

Last night Daddy was in charge of bathtime, so Benny got a mohawk.

Holiday Greetings from Spokane

Our Thanksgiving weekend began with the Brulotte family coming to visit. It was the first time the entire family had been together for Thanksgiving in 9 years. The activities included watching movies, playing games, getting schooled in billiards by George, horseback riding, work projects, and hunting wild turkey in our yard. The unlucky Turkey on the left was quite tasty!!!!

This was our magnificent feast where Jessica made her announcement about our little bun in the oven due Oh sometime this summer :o)

This is my little buddy Benjamin.

Evie, with her new best friend "Share" Bear!!! There were many reasons we gave her this new friend as an early Christmas gift!!!!!!

This is Jessica's latest project. As you can see 3 down 1 to go.

And finally this is our Christmas Tree. I wish the picture did it some justice but it is a very beautiful tree. Notice the lower level of ornaments, just outside the reach of Benny boy!!!!!!
Merry Christmas and Love everybody!!!!

Utah Thanksgiving

I forgot to take pictures of the dinner...but I did take pictures of the aftermath. Here is one load of dishes....

and here is the other.

We had Thanksgiving with Mike's parents and it was an enjoyable feast. Our turkey turned out so moist...I think it must have been because I didn't cook a monstrous bird.

We went to the Van Slooten's for pie and the raisin tradition to say what we are thankful for. I am most thankful this Thanksgiving to be able to walk and for Mike and all his patience.

Western Washington Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at the Richards' new home in Bonney Lake. There was lots of time to visit as the turkey was not cooperating and wasn't done when we thought it would be. We ate at 5 instead of 3. It was a wonderful gathering of family and we all had a great time.
